Kampala, 3 June 2016: Stanbic Bank, Uganda’s leading bank, has been awarded the Best Retail Bank in Uganda, at the 2016 The Banker Africa’s East Africa Awards.
The awards held annually are designed to recognize banking excellence as well as financial products and services that have witnessed excellent performance or exponential market growth.

With a branch network of 86 branches and 173 ATM’s, Stanbic Bank is committed to servicing the financial needs of their more than 600 000 customers.
“This achievement would not have been possible without our staff’s dedication to providing quality customer service. Though we still have a long way to go and need to work on improving our service levels and ability to deliver, this award is an indication that we are on the right track”, said Mr Wingfield.
In addition to Stanbic Bank Uganda’s award, CfC Stanbic Bank in Kenya was awarded the Best Corporate Bank and the Best Investment Bank award was won by Stanbic Bank Tanzania.
The regional wins are a testament of how Stanbic Bank is helping East Africa realize its potential by leveraging off its regional footprint and on-the-ground expertise and capabilities
