The weekend beginning Friday 21st  to Sunday 23rd June  2019 will be quite busy on Uganda’s social scene with a number of events lined up for the party goers right from music events to sports events.

As always at Guide2Uganda we shall do our best to summarize for you all the events so that you can make up your pick. Here is what’s happening on the Events Calender this Weekend.

 

01. Ekirigime Sure deal 2019 at Rukungiri Main Stadium

This Friday, Radio Rukungiri will be hosting their annual Ekirigime kya Radio Rukungiri at Rukungiri main stadium starting 4pm.

Lots of performances from; Fresh Kid, Fille, John Blaq, Amani Amaniga, Rab J, Prize T, Kapara among many more.

Entrance is Shs 7k

 

02. Bell Jamz Listeners experience with Pallaso

This Saturday June 22nd, Pallaso will be on another episode of Bell Jamz at DNA lounge. The king of the East will be performing back to back on live band from songs way back memory lane including collaborations.

Showtime is 8pm and entrance is absolutely free of charge.

 

03.  E-Government Exhibition at Garden City

The e-Government exhibition will be held at the Garden City Mall parking on Thursday 20th June 2019 & Friday 21st June 2019 starting at 8: am to 6pm. Entrance is free. There will also be free MyUG Wi-Fi.

The E-Government exhibition is organized by the National Information Technology Authority Uganda (NITA-U)

04.  Silverback Saturday’s Second Anniversary at H2O Lounge

Silverback’s Deejay Apeman will be playing host in his new home H2O lounge as he celebrates the 2nd year of Silver back Saturday’s where the party never stops.

Expect surprise guest Deejay performances as Showtime will be 8pm.

05.  Tusker Music Lounge Janzi Experience at Fusion Auto Spa

Catch the Tusker Music Lounge with a blend of Janzi band live performance experience at Fusion Auto Spa, Munyonyo on Saturday Friday 21st June starting 7pm.

06.  My Culture My Identity at Uganda Museum

This Saturday June 22nd, get to celebrate the uniqueness of Uganda’s culture at the My Culture My Identity happening at the Uganda Museum.

This has been tailored to appeal to the exuberance of youth. To inspire the youth to view culture as an asset for wealth, health and happiness, to show the youth their heritage and responsibility through events and activities that unit them, To show the youth that culture can be useful To offer an explanation for cultural practices, To foster individual financial independence for the youth.

The Event kicks off at 9am and entrance is Shs 20k

 

07.  Damage night with Sheebah at Club Ambiance Mityana

This Saturday, Mityana party animals will be thrilled with massive performances from Sheebah Karungi at Club Ambiance in a night dubbed ‘’Damage Night’’.

Showtime is 8pm as entrance is Shs 15K VIP and Shs 7K Ordinary.

 

08.  Guvnor Saturday Night Fever

Here’s a proggie for you this Saturday, get to dance in the ultimate Guvnor  Saturday night fever as Deejays; Dash, Bryan, VJ Baby Love, and MC Mozeso take you on a night long musical trip.

Dress code is Smart causal, entrance is Shs30, 000 and Showtime is 9pm.

 

09. Global event on folklore at Garden’s Restaurant

Engabu Za Tooro has been selected by the International Council of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF) to host a global event on folklore slated for  Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June 2019 at Koi Koi Cultural Centre and Gardens restaurant respectively in Fort Portal – Uganda.

The global event is aimed at hosting CIOFF Africa leaders, showcasing and filming representative Uganda’s folklore heritage and installing Uganda’s CIOFF Associate status towards establishment of CIOFF Uganda Section in Fort Portal, Uganda.

CIOFF Uganda is already invited to send a group to perform at the World Festival Parade Brunssum in the Netherland from 10th – 15th July, 2020.

During the event Uganda folklore artists will showcase their heritage to a global audience, a cultural exhibition will held, installing CIOFF Uganda as an Associate Status and swearing in of Interim President of CIOFF Uganda.

Children and students will pay an entrance of UGX 1,000 and adults will pay UGX 3,000.

 

GEMS CIK Prize Giving & Graduation 2019

GEMS Cambridge International School, Kampala will host this year’s Prize Giving & Graduation ceremony this Friday 21st June, 2019.

Parents and guests are invited, join the party as they will recognize and celebrate the successes and achievements of students for this academic year 2018 -2019, at GEMS CIK.
