Turkish Airline Cargo Carrier Signs Up For Winter Heavy Checks

MNG Airlines has reached a deal with MRO firm Joramco to have part of its fleet maintained over the winter.

Joramco, the Jordanian based MRO group, will perform three C checks on two of the Turkish cargo airline‘s A300s and one A330 aircraft.




The checks are planned for between December 2019 and February 2020.

Jeff Wilkinson, Joramco’s CEO, said: “We are proud of the partnership that we have developed since 2012 and we are delighted that MNG Airlines has selected Joramco again for their 2019/2020 maintenance requirements, this collaboration reaffirms Joramco’s strong capabilities in maintaining cargo aircraft special needs.”

Mehmet Eyigurbuz, technical director at MNG Airlines, said: “We have selected Joramco again for the heavy checks of our A300 and A330 aircraft for [the] winter season because; we believe – based on our past experience with Joramco – that Joramco will do its best to redeliver our aircraft on time and within our budget.”

Founded in 1996, MNG Airlines is a cargo airline based in Istanbul Turkey and operates a fleet of A300-600F and A330-200F aircraft.

MNG Airlines has a high market share in air cargo transport, especially in Europe and Middle East.
