The State Minister for Works and Transport, Hon. Engineer Monica Azuba Ntege, this Friday afternoon revealed that the long awaited national airlines will be taking on flights to the skies effective August as Uganda Airlines will be issued an Air Operator License (AOC) on July 28th followed by tests and clearances that will be done for its operationalization.
The airline’s is said to thereafter commence commercial flights in August 2019 to designated destinations of upto 7 different African countries from Entebbe to Kilimanjaro, Nairobi, Juba, Dar es salaam, Bujumbura, Mogadishu, and Mombasa.
These commercial flights will be operated using the newly acquired Uganda Airlines Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft that were received in April 2019.
