Yesterday, 27th September 2018 marked World Tourism Day. Every year this day is celebrated globally.
In Uganda, the celebrations took place in Jinja Municipality where members of the general public and Uganda Tourism related agencies marched through Jinja town holding banners.
This year’s major theme across the whole world was centred on Tourism and the Digital Transformation.
The event was organised by Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities with support from Uganda Wildlife Authority, Uganda Tourism Board, Uganda Wildlife Education Center, Kampala Capital City Authority, Nation Information Technology Authority, Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Uganda Hotel Owners Association among many more tourism stakeholders.
