With the Pearl Of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) 2020 event underway, the Uganda Tourism Board continues to promote Uganda’s tourism through a number of ventures all targeted at increasing the number of tourists.
Commenting about the preparations of the much anticipated POATE Exo, Lilly Ajarova, the Uganda Tourism Board chief executive officer highlighted more about the event and what the board has lined up for Uganda’s tourism for this year.
Ajarova says that according to the data at hand, most of the travelers coming into Uganda come from within Africa. She further stressed that UTB wishes to focus their energy on such potential to position Uganda as a tourism destination on the continent.
Asked about what participants should expect from this years edition of POATE, Ajarova had this to say. “We are making a provision for knowledge exchange. Definitely we shall have seminars over the three days on different topics. These will help stakeholders and participants to share into a highly influential and growing industry. We have also received other round table discussions on specific subjects in smaller networking groups.”
Ajarova promised a better year ahead and pointed out that apart from the POATE expo, Uganda Tourism Board has lined up more events in a bid to increase on the number of tourists flocking in the country.
