During Thursday last week, Uganda Wildlife Authority’s problem animal team arrested another 5.8 meter long nile crocodile weighing 850 kilograms at Tonya A village, Lake Albert in Hoima district.
A goat that was planted as bait was used by the team to capture the dangerous crocodile after alert from locals and later released it to River Nile at Murchison Falls National Park.
This Nile crocodile was previously reported to have feasted on twelve cows since December last year.
In the same development, earlier on Tuesday same week, Murchison falls national park problem animal team apprehended a 3.8 meter long nile crocodile that weighed 700 kilograms from Ninga village in Nakasongola district.
The team later on relocated it to Karuma while in Toro Semuliki Wildlife reserve, a huge python was trapped from Kanyasi barracks and relocated deep in the reserve as a safety measure.
