Last Sunday, Vocalists Jamal Waswa and Chagga proved worth their talents after a long time off the music scene at the Roast and Rhymes story tellers’ edition taking revelers down memory lane of their hits since the early 2000’s.
Chagga Geofrey, currently known as Goodlyfe manager, joined the music industry as singer and songwriter in Leon Island where he used to work with Jose Chameleon.
Over the weekend he wowed crowd with songs such as “Birungi”, “Yoono”, “Kiba Kibi” and others whereas Jamal performed “Obawuwo” “Omusomesa’ and “Abakyala.”
Emceed by Roger Mugisha, featured performances came in from, the Aka Dope Band, Fefe Bussi, The Myth among others who got crowds dance to their toes with trending songs.
Besides other seasonal Kampala’s picnic events like Blankets and Wine, Roast and Rhymes proves another popular family day picnic for Ugandan revelers where musicians showcase unique and diverse local music talent.
