After an on and off cancelation few days to the Festival with sighted immorality activities by the Minister for Ethics and Integrity Father Simon Lokodo, Uganda’s telecom giant MTN finally got acceptance to proceed with the event.
The Festival which commenced on Thursday 06th to Sunday 09th September testified a big crowd pull as revellers travelled from all parts of the world including Africa, Europe and USA among other parts of the World.
Held at Jinja’s Nile discovery beach, lots of entertainment, fun, cocktails and games characterised the most anticipated festival now in its fourth Edition as party lords enjoyed every bit of the event.
Artists from the US, Europe and other parts of the world performed at the four-day festival, whose sponsors included the British Council, South African telecom giant MTN, Coca-Cola and Bell Lager.
Its estimated more than 8,000 people attended the Festival as they danced in the wild, camped, water rafted among other activities that the festival had to offer.
This year’s Nyege Nyege festivities concluded on Sunday 09th September 2018. Next Festival dates will be communicated.
