The four suspects are currently detained at Kanungu Police under custody as these include; 26 year old Brian Ampurire, Vincent Tumuhire aged 49, Robert Aliyo, 40 and 68 year old Davi Miliango. Information leading to the arrest of suspects was given out by someone from the public as awaits the 10 million shilling prize to be offered by the authority.

It is alleged the four suspects netted were involved in the poisoning of the six Wildlife species which also claimed eight vultures at the Ishasha Sector inside Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The Shs10 million bounty Uganda Wildlife Authority had put as an appreciation for whereabouts on the killers facilitated the arrest of the duo.

Currently, a team of investigators in collaboration with Police and other sister security agencies is still on ground to get more people involved in the practice with aid of the suspects.

Uganda Wildlife Authority continues to condemn the illegal killing of Wildlife as it does not only impact UWA but also surrounding communities staying along the park on a revenue share basis as 20% of gate fees is shared with the residents near the parks to improve their livelihoods and the Country at large as Tourism the biggest foreign exchange earner contributing 10% of GDP and 23% of total foreign exports. Nature Tourism has always contributed approximately $1.6 billion to the economy.

Previously, the Uganda Wildlife Authority has on a maximum tone increased campaigns cautioning the Public about poaching as the practice can get one jailed for life or pay   hefty fines worth billions of shillings.
