Emirates Revolutionizes in-flight experiences with Restaurant-Like dining in the Skies

Emirates is set to elevate the in-flight dining experience with its latest innovative initiative – meal preordering. This groundbreaking service allows passengers to preselect their hot main meals between 14 days and 24 hours before their flight. By introducing this new feature, Emirates aims to provide travelers with their preferred meal choice while significantly reducing food wastage.

Starting from 25th July, Emirates’ Business Class passengers on all flights between Dubai and London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and London Stansted will have the privilege of using the meal preordering service. This enhancement to the Emirates customer experience offers several benefits, including improved time management and a deeper understanding of meal consumption patterns onboard.

Up to two weeks before their scheduled flight, passengers can access the onboard menu on Emirates.com or the Emirates app. They will be able to choose from a delectable selection of regionally inspired dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients. Moreover, the preordering service allows passengers to request special meals, catering to diverse dietary requirements.

Onboard, Emirates’ cabin crew will utilize a custom-built application on handheld devices to view each passenger’s meal selection. This streamlined process ensures that passengers receive their preferred hot dish during the flight, providing them with a restaurant-like dining experience in the skies.

While currently available for Business Class passengers on select routes, Emirates plans to expand the meal preordering initiative to more routes and classes in the near future. The service will complement Emirates’ existing suite of AI-enabled customer preference tracking data and cabin crew reports, further enhancing menu planning and food loading processes.

The meal preordering service is just one of many digitally enabled features that Emirates passengers enjoy. With website check-in and app check-in, digital boarding passes, and itinerary management, passengers can seamlessly manage their journeys. Additionally, Emirates Skywards members can access free connectivity based on their tier membership and class of travel. Passengers can also curate personalized playlists of movies, TV shows, and music through the Emirates app, synchronizing their preferences to their in-flight entertainment system before boarding.

Emirates places great importance on customer feedback and continuously seeks to enhance its services. Passengers are encouraged to participate in a quick digital survey on the inflight entertainment screen, enabling them to provide valuable insights and suggestions that will contribute to a better flying experience with Emirates.

As Emirates pioneers the meal preordering service, it remains committed to creating a superior and sustainable inflight dining experience for its esteemed customers. With its ongoing dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction, Emirates solidifies its position as a global leader in the aviation industry.
