Last Sunday 30th September 2018, South Africa’s Distruction Boyz entertained Kampala party lovers at the 20th edition of Blankets and Wine  with a one hour nonstop performance.

The event that started as early as Mid-day saw lots of slay queens and slay kings exhibit a sense of fashion well prepared to have some fan as they enjoyed entertainment later on from Uganda’s Aka Dope Band, Ykee Benda, DJ Slick Stuart and Roja, Tina Ford, Joanita Kawalya, Rachael Kay, Rap Poet, Tracey Noel, and South Africa’s Afro fusion music duo Distruction Boys.

Another place to catch all the fun was the UG Pineapple Lounge.  Celeb after slay queen made a stop at the UG Pineapple lounge to taste the new Uganda Waragi Flavour and enjoy the beautiful set up that resonated well with the theme of Blankets and Wine; relax, lounge and have fun with a drink in hand.

The event is a good excuse for girls to show off their fashion sense and Kampala girls do not disappoint. Girls in hot pants, girls in overalls, girls bringing African Fabric to the fore.  Every fashion imaginable. The best place to harvest some eye candy was the UG Pineapple photo booth because if fashion must walk the Blankets and Wine red carpet, then the world must see in it pictures.

As the afternoon turned to evening and into the night, Kampala party revellers flocked Lugogo cricket oval in their hundreds.

By 8pm when Distruction Boys stepped on stage, Cricket oval was filled to capacity. The duo put up an energetic performance, picking songs from all over Africa and crowning their performance with their all time favourite hit, Omunye.
