Top 10 Events happening in Uganda this Weekend

The weekend beginning Friday 13th to Sunday 15th  March  2020  will be quite busy on Uganda’s social scene with a number of events lined up for the party goers right from music events to sports events.

01.  Uganda Cranes CHAN team Meet & Greet

The open training session Uganda Cranes squad that will be competing in Chad will be on at Star Times Stadium, Lugogo this Friday at 5pm.

Main activities will include; Fans watching the Cranes team train, meet and greet players, photo sessions and selfies with both players and coaches.

 

02.  AK 47 Tribute at Nican Resort Hotel

The Mayanja Family brothers; Dr Jose Chameleone, Pallaso and Weasel will be paying tribute to their late fallen young brother and dancehall music superstar Emmanuel Mayanja alias AK47 this Sunday 15th March 2020. They will be accompanied by lots of other Ugandan Musicians and Comedians like; Omulangira Ssuna, Melody, Fefe Bussi, Papa Cidy and Karole Kasita.

Entrance is Shs10K Ordinary and Shs20K VIP.

 

03.  9th HiPipo Music Awards at Kampala Serena Hotel

The 9th HiPipo Music Awards will be taking place this Saturday at the Kampala Serena Hotel. Lots of awards to be dished away on the awards night and music performances from selected artistes.

The Awards Ceremony kicks off at 6pm.

 

04.  Shisa Nyama Saturday at Zone 7 this Saturday

Join a Fun evening of Tasty Nyama Choma, Card and Board Games and a whole lot of Dancing throughout at Zone 7 this Saturday as Shisa Nyama brings a whole new 2020 experience. Lots of massive Entertainment from DJ Alza who will be spinning discs starting 7pm -10pm.

 

05.  Kampala Ramen Festival at Yamasen Restaurant, Muyenga

This Sunday, the Kampala Ramen Festival will be happening at Yamasen Restaurant, Muyenga starting 12pm. Lots of Ramen to enjoy from different varieties across five different Restaurants.

 

06.  The Official Irish Society St Patrick’s Craic at Otters

This Friday, The Official Irish Society St Patrick’s Craic will be happening this Friday at Otters, Bar Kololo along K.A.R Road. Lots of free Guinness sampling from Ireland, sizzling music from the Traditional Irish Band and amazing Irish dancers straight from Ireland.

07.  Jam Sundays at Sheraton Kampala Hotel

Hanging out with the family just got a whole lot more fun with Sheraton Kampala Hotel new unique monthly family friendly experience dubbed Fam Jam Sundays.

08.  Comedicine at National Theatre

Get over the week`s busy tiring schedule and drop by the National Theatre for a mid-week break as Fun factory gets you entertained by their Rib Cracking Jokes.

Comedicine is on This Thursday at the Uganda National Cultural Centre starting 6pm.

 

09.  Garage48 Empowering Youth Kampala

The Garage48 Empowering Youth Kampala, will be happening this Friday at the Innovation Village Kampala from 8am.

This event is a possibility to surround Youth with people who empower them to become better, so it will be a  48-hours of excitement, inspiration, creativity, and validation. Teams are formed on spot around the best ideas. 48-hours that follow will be filled with vibrant community energy, brainstorming, and hard work, all in order to turn the initial idea into a working prototype. All the teams will be supported by top-notch local and international mentors.

 

10.  Women In Business Breakfast at WITU Uganda

Women in Technology Uganda will be hosting Women in Business Breakfast at their Offices.  They are organizing the session to discuss how to start a business from  passion, the key issues that affect women entrepreneurs, Life post-employment, online customer satisfaction and available markets opportunities for SMEs.

Ms Joan Mugenzi C.E.O Imagine Me Africa and Tr Basemera Stella C.E.O Creative Learning Africa+ will be the main mentors.
