The party was a prelude of what’s yet to come in the highly anticipated cocktail week slated for December 1st to 11th. This year, the number of participating outlets has grown from 15 to 30. Themed “Craft Bartending”, this year’s cocktail week will see mixologists in participating bars  eradicate and replace the ‘industrial-made premix packaged stuff’ and artificial colorants with fresh market produce such as locally sourced and freshly squeezed fruit juices, fresh herbs like mint, fresh spices like ginger and cinnamon, house syrups, bitters among others.

Uganda Waragi has set the pace in introducing Ugandans to the cocktail culture having sponsored the first and now second edition of cocktail week.

“The cocktail revolution has taken the world and now Uganda by storm. We have a large number of vibrant, trendy and fun people who want to enjoy their drinks in different tasteful ways and cocktails deliver that experience. Uganda Waragi, as a premium gin lends itself well to many cocktails and it’s only fitting that we enable Kampala Cocktail Week”, said Rhona Namanya, Brand Manager, Uganda Waragi.
