Queen Abenakyo utilized her beauty and knowledge to out compete the rest and prove to Judges her potential that beauty comes with a purpose.

Her major concern was the challenges faced by teenage pregnancies where 1 out of 4 adolescents aged 14 to 19 years of age end up pregnant at such early ages which later results into health complications like fistula while giving birth.

She also expressed the negative impacts of early pregnancies as leading causes of school dropouts and career killers as some of the victims are sometimes sent out of their parent’s homes which leave them in desperate situations.

Speaking before Judges Quin Abenakyo said ;  “I am very proud and humbled for having done this for my country Uganda, Uganda’s Beauty with a Purpose project is fighting teenage pregnancies’’

“I believe they all have dreams and goals to achieve. My objective is to put into action my Beauty with a Purpose project using the opportunity given to me by the Miss Uganda foundation and Miss World organisation to achievably bring to the fore front of the world stage causes that promote the sanity of human life especially the girl child”

Whoever attended was inspired by that moment seeing Uganda’s beauty with a purpose fully recognized, helping, skilling and supporting a girl child so that they can fully reach their potential by keeping them in school through a campaign.

The three judges comprised current Miss World 2017 crown holder Manushi Chhillar (India), and former Miss Worlds Meghan Young (Philippines, 2013) and Stephanie Del Valle (Puerto Rico, 2016).
