Travis Greene Rocks Kampala with joyful noise

Travis Montorious Greene, an American gospel singer and founding pastor of the Forward City Church, performed at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala on Saturday.

He is known for his popular songs such as “Narekelemo,” “Intentional,” “Be Still,” “Worship Rise,” “Taste and See,” and many others. The event was attended by a large number of believers who sang along with him with great enthusiasm. Travis wrapped the Ugandan flag around his mic as a sign of his love for the country and gave an outstanding performance.

The event was opened by various gospel artists, including Sandra Ssuubi, Gabi Ntaate, Kimera, Levxione, and Brian Lubega. Travis’s music has charted on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums and the Top Gospel Songs charts, and he has been nominated for numerous awards, including five Grammy Awards and 13 Stellar Awards. Along with his wife Jackie, he founded and oversees The Forward City Church in Columbia, South Carolina.

Navio releases X Project Album

Ugandan hip-hop artist Daniel Kigozi, also known as Navio, recently launched his Navio X Project Cultural Hip-Hop Album in Kampala.

The album features collaborations with various artists from different parts of the country. During a press conference, Navio explained that the “X” in the project’s name represents the number of districts he has already visited and that there are still more to come.

Navio mentioned that this is the first album of its kind in Uganda and that it is the first volume of what will be many more to come.

The album will be available on their social media handles at midnight. Navio also revealed that he did not include any lyrics on this album, but only notes. He also noted that the adventure during the production of this album was fascinating because they did not use any studios but captured sound in its purest form.

The 11-track album includes songs such as “Tyabu Tyabu” featuring Nile Beat, “Nangoria” featuring Giraffe Clan, “Joy” featuring Ayesiga, “The Mountain,” “Lidembe,” “Ekori” featuring G-Willz and Giraffe Clan, “Atengo Mwana” featuring Haruna Walusimbi and Abaasa, “Odoch Otiene” featuring Gulu Dance Masters, “Ndabaho,” and “Sebei.”

Reggae Lovers Rock Jinjeera Raggae Overdrive

Last Saturday, Humble Management and Nile Special joined forces to put together an unforgettable event – the first-ever Reggae overdrive at Nile Nest in Jinja City. The event was a massive success, with a lively crowd that brought energy and excitement to the venue.

The performances were top-notch, featuring some of the most talented musicians and entertainers. The crowd was treated to a wide range of musical performances.

Some of the standout performers included Cindy, who delivered a captivating performance that left the audience wanting more. Nutty Neithan also wowed the crowd with his electrifying stage presence and high-energy performance. Other notable performers included Ziza Bafana, Janzi Band, Sama Souljah, DJ Nimrod, Naselow Da Don and Deno, who all brought their unique style and flair to the stage.

Overall, the event was a huge success, and everyone in attendance left feeling entertained and satisfied. It’s safe to say that the Reggae overdrive at Nile Nest will go down in history as one of the most memorable events as this is said to start happening annually.

 

Ronald Mayinja Delivers as promised at ‘’Old is Gold’’

On Friday, the renowned Ugandan band musician Ronald Mayinja delivered an amazing live performance at the Kampala Serena Hotel, proving that old is gold, as he had promised.

The event was well-attended, starting at 6 pm, and witnessed hundreds of partygoers from various social classes who had been eagerly anticipating this highly anticipated event.

Many people had missed seeing Mayinja perform in almost a decade, making this single-man concert even more special. During his performance, he sang hit songs that have rocked Ugandan airwaves and homesteads, including ‘Tuli Bukenke, Necklace, Clare, Nazalibwa Mukazi Mwavu, Funayo Akadde, Abalina Ssente, Twerimbiraki, Londa Nze, Tononooza, and Doreen.

To spice up the night, there were other performers including Carol Nantongo, Maureen Nantume, Mesach Ssemakula, Hajji Haruna Mubiru, Bebe Cool, and Dr Jose Chameleon, among others.
