The question looming is, can Spain make a hat-trick victory after winning twice in 2008 and 2012, be declared European champions again?

Speaking at the press launch at Riders Bar, Phoebe Nakabazzi, DStv Uganda Marketing Manager said, “If you thought the wealth of first rate foot ball was wrapping up on the world of champions you wrong. SuperSport will exclusively broadcast all 51 games plyed by the 24 teams in France throughout the tournament. The best part of it is that our DStv compact subscribers will also be in on the action, as the tournament will also be broadcast on the bouquet.”

The Euro 2016 matches will be available on SuperSport 3 (DStv channel 223) and SuperSport 4 (DStv channel 204) and on SuperSport 11 (DStv channel 211) and SuperSport 12 (DStv channel 212) for DStv compact subscribers.

This will be the 3rd time that France hosts the tournament, after the inaugural tournament in 1960 and the 1984 finals. The French team has won the European championship twice: in 1984 and 2000. Spain is the current defending champions which won in 2012.

Nakabazzi added, “to make this tournament even more exciting for fans, we have launched a promotion where subscribers will win viewing parties courtesy of DStv for either new acquisitions or renewal for their subscription on compact and above for two months or longer with a line up and coming artist, making a special appearance at all the parties. Up to ten viewing parties will be held throughout the tournament with other smaller prizes up for grabs for runner’s ups and DStv will cover all the costs.
