Ethiopian Airlines to revive Flights to Mogadishu this November

The Ethiopian based flights service will effective November 02nd resume flights to the Somali Capital. The Group’s CEO, Mr Tewolde Gebremariam recently established that the company is set to revive flights to Somali’s capital after over four decades of cancellation.

He went ahead and congratulated the Governments of Ethiopia and Somalia for enabling the flights again.

The flights will play a significant role in strengthening the people-to-people and economic ties between the two neighbourly and sisterly countries. The flights will also enable the important Somali Diaspora in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Middle East, Europe and Africa to travel to their homeland via Addis Ababa with the airline’s global network of over 116 international destinations.

The resumption of the service to Somalia comes after 41 years since Ethiopian Airlines Group stopped its route to Mogadishu in the 1970s.
