She has a voice of reason on different platforms with her latest feature being number 18 on the list of 100 Women In FinTech across the African continent building blocks in the Fintech space.

Aside from the FinTech world, Flavia Eleanor Kasenge has a sentimental side to humanity.   She is passionate about children with special needs evidenced by her most recent initiative at St Lilian Children’s Home. Working hand in hand with the team to bring hope and put a smile on these children’s faces.

The home is a pooling unit of kids from all walks of life special in many ways, such as deaf, dumb, and physically impaired. However, these different limitations have united these kids and built their confidence in believing that despite their physical limitations they can achieve life greatest opportunities. Our role is to encourage, inspire, nurture, and be present as a sign of hope that these children are thought about, loved, and prayed for.

Built on a catholic foundation, the home started in 2002 and was registered in 2005 originally know as Gayaza Catholic Lilian foundation which was later renamed and registered as St. Lillian children’s home for the disabled and the disadvantaged a certified NGO.

Currently, it is under the administratorship of Sr. Amoit Lucky, a nun who is a part of the Bwanda congression of catholic nuns.

The organization also partners with Prince V another charity origination also focusing on the livelihood of children with special needs.

It was a day well spent with these children that painted a picture of hope, strength and resilience amidst life’s most difficult challenges. I experienced what it feels like to walk the journey of learning with them using their unique abilities like the art of painting, coloring, shading, dancing, and interacting at a personal level.

These children can attain knowledge and become the best they can be if given a chance.  All they need are people to listen, care, and provide for their most immediate needs. This would go a long way in improving their perspective toward life.
