Rwanda, Slovenia pen down Bilateral Air service Agreement

Slovenia and Rwanda are looking forward to establishing a bilateral air service agreement, which would allow for the establishment of scheduled air services between the two countries. The move is seen as being in the economic interests of both nations, with representatives from the Slovenian aviation industry expressing a particular interest in operating cargo flights.

The Slovenian government made the announcement last week, saying that although it would confer with the European Commission throughout the negotiations, it did not anticipate any challenges to reaching an agreement with Rwanda. The deal is anticipated to significantly strengthen commercial and economic ties between the two nations.

“It is in the economic interest of both countries to create a regular air service between the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Rwanda. The idea of conducting cargo flights has sparked interest in a bilateral air service agreement between the two states from Slovenian aviation industry representatives “the Slovenian government reportedly stated, according to EX-YU Aviation.

The declaration comes as Rwanda seeks to develop its aviation sector and boost air connectivity more than before. RwandAir, the national airline of the nation, has been growing its service in recent years, concentrating especially on routes to Europe.

RwandAir may have more opportunities as a result of the new agreement with Slovenia, including the ability to increase its cargo operations and maybe add new passenger routes to its network. It also emphasizes the expanding significance of African aviation and the rising desire of non-African nations to form alliances and contracts with African carriers.

An advantageous development for both Slovenia and Rwanda as well as the larger African aviation industry is the proposed air service agreement. It is believed that it would open the door for other contracts and alliances in the future, spurring economic expansion and enhancing communication throughout the continent.
