The weekend beginning Friday 18th to Sunday 20th  October 2019 will be quite busy on Uganda’s social scene with a number of events lined up for the party goers right from music events to sports events.

01.  Obuwoomi bwo’Luganda  at Theatre Labonita

Comedy duo; Maulana and Reign will this Friday October 18th host their first comedy show dubbed ‘’ Obuwoomi bwo’Luganda’’   at Theatre Labonita.

The duo will be featured with performances from King Saha as the event beings at 7pm.

Entrance will be Shs50k for 1st Class, VIP Shs70, 000 & VVIP Shs100, 000

 

02.  Kampala Geopolitics Conference 2019

The Kampala Geopolitics Conference is back for the 2019 edition at Makerere University starting this Thursday October 17th going on till Friday 18th October. Expect upto 18 International Panels plus a free Concert and Cultural Programme.

This year ́s event will host 18 roundtables and further exchange platforms on a variety of topics relating to Global Challenges, Regional Trends, the Sustainable Development Goals and Culture & Society.

Inspired by the Geopolitics of Nantes (France), the Kampala Geopolitics Conference is a two-day free public event that aims at creating a high-level, interactive and dynamic platform for dialogue and free exchange of ideas cutting across contemporary, local and international geopolitics. The partners involved include: The Embassy of France, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), Makerere University, UN Women Uganda, Alliance Française Kampala and Reach A Hand Uganda.

 

03.  Uganda Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Awards 2019

ACCA Uganda and Deloitte have partnered once again for the 3rd edition of the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) Awards 2019 themed “ethics and trust, the competitive advantage for business sustainability”.

This year, the awards are seven; CFO of the year, Young CFO Award, Strategy Execution Award, Finance Transformation Award, Public Sector Award, SME sector Award and Not for Profit sector Award.

The CFO Awards were started as a way of recognising the role that CFOs and finance functions play within organisations, highlighting the good business and finance practices while raising the profile of this strategic role.

They are part of the bigger CFO agenda which presents a platform to share best practice, drive awareness, inspire action and develop a community of finance leaders committed to create more sustainable outcomes for their organisations

04.  Lilly Kadima Live in ‘’ Ighe Olinaki’’ Concert at Uganda National Cultural Centre

This Friday, Lilly Kadima will be performing live at Uganda National Cultural Centre in the ‘’ Ighe Olinaki’’ concert. Get to experience greatness with Lily Kadima as she takes you through a one of a kind authentic musical.

The “Ighe Olinaki” singer has a lot in stalk for all revelers.

 

05.  Fridays Afro-Latin Nights in Uganda

The Afro –Latin Nights are happening this Friday at AER Lounge in Kololo.

Starting 6pm-7pm its always a free dance workshop to all new learners or beginners (instructor Musa & team) then from 7pm to 8pm-free dance workshop for the intermediates and from 8pm-late is the open dance floor for all dancers and those who would love to watch a listen to the music.

Participation fee is Shs5000

06.  Guvnor Saturday Night Fever

Here’s a proggie for you this Saturday, get to dance in the ultimate Guvnor  Saturday night fever as Deejays; Dash, Bryan, VJ Baby Love, and MC Mozeso take you on a night long musical trip.

Dress code is Smart causal, entrance is Shs30, 000 and Showtime is 9pm.

 

07.  The Jump Off Friday’s at La Paronis, Kampala

Party on the ultimate Jump Off Fridays this Friday as Selector Jeff, ED Wizzy, DJ Phil, DJ Bobby, and MC Mats take you on a night long music spree.

Showtime is 8pm as entrance is free.

 

08.  Sosolya Undugu Dance Troupe

Get to watch Sosolya Undugu Dance Troupe  every Sunday starting  5PM to 6.30PM for beautiful songs & dance with Sosolya Undugu Dance Academy as they  while away the evening to a beautiful sunset overlooking Lake Victoria. They bring you performances from the East Africa Community.

Entrance Charges: Adults above 21 – Ugx 20,000, Ages 12 to 20 – Ugx 10,000, Children under 11 years – Free entrance.

 

09.  Live Band Sunday featuring Sister Charity and Gist Band

Every Sunday, the Mist Bar, Kabale brings you a live band featuring Sister Charity and Gist band as they play for you amazing ballads.

10.  Thursday Quiz and Roasts at Club El Tanjia

This Thursday, catch yet another Quiz and Roasts action at Club El Tanjia, Mbale for some fun, plus don’t miss dancing to some oldies music as mixed by in house deejays.
