The weekend beginning Friday 14th  to Sunday 16th June  2019 will be quite busy on Uganda’s social scene with a number of events lined up for the party goers right from music events to sports events.

As always at Guide2Uganda we shall do our best to summarize for you all the events so that you can make up your pick. Here is what’s happening on the Events Calender this Weekend.

 

01.  Views & Vibes paint edition at The Five horsemen this Friday

This Friday, The Five horsemen will be hosting the Views and Vibes season 6 with a paint edition this time around.

Lots of painting fun as color paints will be for free, all you have to do is wear clothes you would wish to be splashed on.

Chief painter will be the legendary Mos Opten himself as face and body painting will be done by Bella.

Lots of Music mixes from; El Deejay Leo, Cheek-O Dread and Catu as they will be blazing music till late. Entrance is free before 9pm and Shs 10k after 10pm.

 

02.  Eastern Region Trade Fair at Mbale Municipal Stadium

If you are in Mbale, Passby Mbale Municipal Stadium for the 11th edition of the annual Eastern Region Trade fair going on effective Thursday June 6th till Sunday 16th June 2019.

The (ERTF) is a multi-sectoral event which will provide a wide platform for exhibiting products and services in various sectors; industrial/manufacturing, construction, textile, foods and beverages, education, packaging, printing and stationery, business and financial services, telecommunication and information technology, leather, handcrafts, wood and wooden items, agricultural products and machinery, tourism and travel services

The Fair begins 10AM every day.

 

03.  Guvnor Saturday Night Fever

Here’s a proggie for you this Saturday, get to dance in the ultimate Guvnor  Saturday night fever as Deejays; Dash, Bryan, VJ Baby Love, and MC Mozeso take you on a night long musical trip.

Dress code is Smart causal, entrance is Shs30, 000 and Showtime is 9pm.

 

04.  Freedom of Expression at Creative Talks Africa, Design Hub

Creative Talks Africa will be happening this Friday June 14th at Design Hub starting 6pm.

On the Panel will include; Kerunen Suzan (singer-songwriter), Matt Kayem (visual artist), Arinda Daphine (writer, poet), Rehema Nanfuka (film, theater maker) and Daudi Oguttu (journalist, tv/radio presenter) developed an artistic social experiment as a means to create a space in which people can speak their minds freely.

At the Creative Talks Africa sessions this month on the 14th June, the group will share their experiences trying to create a space in which anyone could express themselves freely. They will talk about the artistic process, setting goals and re-evaluating expectations and definitions of success in the process. They will also share about how the project will continue in the future.

The talk will be followed by artistic performances by Daphine Arinda, Suzan Kerunen and Rehema Nanfuka. The performances are inspired by the expressions from the safe spaces they created.

Arrival from 6pm drinks and bites on sale. Panel discussion starts at 7pm sharp.

05.  Aka-Kanin album release

Aka Kanin, the son of Akurut has put together some beats with beautiful souls. As a result of their unconditional love and this Sunday June 16th, he will be performing some great melodies at the Five Horsemen, Nsambya starting 6pm.

Entrance is only Shs 10,000

06.  Saturday Sounds #1 at the Lazy Pony

Saturday Sounds is a weekly jam session at The Lazy Pony, hosted by The Few. They keep the sound running, inviting any musician to join them on stage.

Don’t be shy to show your talent. Bring your instrument, or just your voice, and jam along!
Free entry starting 7-9pm

 

07.  Sosolya Undugu Dance Academy

Get to watch Sosolya Undugu Dance Troupe  every Sunday starting  5PM to 6.30PM for beautiful songs & dance with Sosolya Undugu Dance Academy as they  while away the evening to a beautiful sunset overlooking Lake Victoria. They bring you performances from the East Africa Community.

Entrance Charges: Adults above 21 – Ugx 20,000, Ages 12 to 20 – Ugx 10,000, Children under 11 years – Free entrance.

 

08.  Bell All-star tour in Mbarara this Saturday

Mbarara nightlife will this Saturday be hosting the second edition of the Swangz/Bell all-star tour at Agip motel starting 6pm.

Stars like; Vinka, Spice Diana, Fik Fameica, Bennie Gunter, Nina Roz, John Black and many more are scheduled to perform as ordinary tickets will cost Shs10, 000 while VIP will be UGX. 20,000.

 

08.  Blues Excuse happening at the Big Kafunda

The ‘’Blues Excuse’’ will be happening at the Big Kafunda this Saturday starting 9pm.

Entrance is free.

10.  Happy and Chilled Night at Jahazi Pier, Munyonyo

Jahazi Pier Munyonyo will be hosting the ‘’Happy and Chilled Night’’ this Saturday June 15th starting 6pm.

Expect massive whole night Entertainment with Dj Nach Music.
