Many Ugandans have been over joyed with the latest news to the extent of some feeling it’s the best aircraft with a great design.

The two commissioned AirBus A330-800 birds are anticipated to join the Bombardier fleet and hit the skies this December 2020.

Once the new Airbus aircraft joins the fleet, this will mean more transport efficiency and improve service out reach. This could mean Uganda airlines will extend services to a greater number of more airports and destinations.

Last year, the government of Uganda through the ministry of transport revived the services of Uganda airlines, a company that had earlier been dissolved due to poor economic environment.

The revival meant that in order to commence business, the company had to get all the documentation ready and most of all acquire the necessary aircraft that would take on flights to different destinations.

The government there on commissioned for four aircraft whose purchase was passed by the parliament in a supplementary budget tabled by the then transport minister Monica Azuba and her minister of finance counterpart Matiya Kasaija.
