Comedy in Uganda has come a long way from the days of ‘’Dikuula’’ and ‘’Acting’’ to a new generation of amusing entertainers.
Throughout the past decade, Ugandan comedians and comediennes such as; Pablo, Annie Kansiime, Kabata, Alex Muhangi (Currently runs Comedy Store Uganda), Patrick Salvador Idringi, Doli Bondo, Fun Factory (Comedy Group) among others started up a new wave of stand-up Comedy in Uganda with motivation from South African based and world renowned Trevor Noah, Nigeria’s Basket Mouth, Klint Da Drunk among many more that over the years have inspired many more young talents to one of the most lucrative entertainment business that is gradually gaining momentum throughout the country. This is witnessed by multitudes of revelers who turn up for the weekly or bi-weekly shows for some dosage of laughter.
To that effect, Rock Bar, Speke hotel started up a weekly comedy night dubbed ‘’Rock Comedy’’ to make Tuesday evenings a must attend for their guests and comedy lovers.
This Tuesday July 23rd, get to start your week with some rib cracking jokes from Comedians such as; Maulana and Reign, Uncle Mark, Bobi Junior and Chamili Junior, Mighty Family, Kalela Daniel (One Musoga), among many more as all this will be hosted by Barnet.
Also to spice up the evening with some acoustic performance is Pearl Band that will throw some soft melodies to revelers.
Entrance to the venue is Shs 10K, showtime is 6pm.
